Privacy Policy

Updated July 2026 · Applies to all visitors, customers, and contacts.

This Privacy Policy explains how Web by Lods.AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes personal information. We build and host custom websites for local businesses across the United States. We are the business responsible for the information described here, and we handle it in line with US data-privacy practices, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) and other applicable US state privacy laws.

Where this policy refers to "the Service," it covers usa.lods.ai, every business website we host for a customer (for example lods.ai/your-business), and any chatbot or messaging conversation we operate on our own or a customer's behalf. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to build your site, run the tools in your plan, and stay in touch. That falls into a few buckets:

  • Business information — your business name, address, phone, email, service list, hours, prices, and links to your public Google Business Profile and Facebook Page.
  • Photos and content — images, logos, and text you send us, or that are publicly posted on your Google and Facebook pages, used only to build and run your website.
  • Billing information — payment confirmations, dates, and amounts. We do not store full card numbers; our payment processors handle the card details directly.
  • Your customers' inquiries — when a visitor uses a booking form, quote tool, or chatbot on a site we host, we collect what they enter (typically name, phone, email, the service they asked about, and their message) so you can reply.
  • Website usage — anonymous page-view and click counters, and short-lived IP data used only to rate-limit form spam.
  • Messaging contacts — if you message a page we operate, we receive your profile name and the content of your message.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Build, host, run, and support your website and the automations included in your plan.
  • Bill you and keep accurate payment records.
  • Send confirmations, reminders, and review requests you have asked for or agreed to.
  • Reply to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Secure the Service, prevent spam and fraud, and improve it using aggregated, de-identified usage statistics.
  • Comply with our legal and tax obligations.

We do not use your data, or your customers' data, to train external AI models beyond generating the replies and content you have asked us to produce.

How we share information — and our no-sale commitment

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share your customer list with anyone else. We use a small set of service providers strictly to run the Service, each bound to protect your data:

  • Hosting and database providers — to store and serve your website and its records.
  • An AI model provider — message content is sent to generate chatbot replies and draft content; it is not used to train that provider's public models under our terms.
  • Payment, email, and text-message providers — to take payment and deliver the transactional messages you asked for.
  • Google and Meta — where a Google Business Profile or a Facebook/Messenger chatbot is part of your plan, subject to their own policies.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or a lawful government or court order.

Cookies and analytics

Our sites use only privacy-friendly, first-party analytics — simple counters for page views, button clicks, and section views. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels unless you explicitly ask us to add them to your site. IP addresses seen by our forms are used only for short-window spam rate-limiting and are not retained beyond 24 hours.

Your privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA and US state law)

Depending on where you live, US state privacy laws — including California's CCPA/CPRA — give you rights over your personal information. We honor these rights for all US residents:

  • Right to know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to correct — ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to the limited records we must keep by law.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; if that ever changes, we will provide a clear opt-out.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lesser experience because you exercised a privacy right.

To exercise any right, email or call (310) 866-6496. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe the law requires (generally within 45 days). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it:

  • While you are an active customer — for as long as your website is live with us.
  • After you cancel — we retain your data for one year, so you can resume without rebuilding, and then it is permanently deleted.
  • Visitor IP addresses — 24 hours, for spam rate-limiting only.
  • Records we must keep by law — billing and tax records are kept for the period US law requires, then deleted.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time (see Data Deletion), and we will honor it except for the minimum records the law requires us to keep.

How we protect your data

We maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards appropriate to the data we hold, including:

  • All connections encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS).
  • Database access through scoped service keys, not shared human logins.
  • Passwords stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text.
  • Access limited to the people who need it to run the Service.
  • Verified webhook payloads to prevent spoofing.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you harm, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable US state law.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business owners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email and we will delete it.

Data deletion (also our messaging data-deletion notice)

If you used a chatbot we operate and want your messaging data deleted, send the word DELETE in that same chat, or email . We will remove your profile name and message history and confirm on the same channel you used. Full instructions are on our Data Deletion page.

Changes to this policy

This is our current policy — it may change as the Service and the law evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new update date, and, for customers, emailed before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
